By Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers. Colossians 1

  • Lucifer is not...
False doctrine has been published suggesting Lucifer is something other than a fallen angel. Some even claim that Lucifer is a child of God or a deity, and not evil. John 3:16 makes clear that Jesus Christ is God's only Son, and the Bible make clear that Lucifer is evil, rejected by God, and defeated.

  • Helel Ben Shachar
    Lucifer in the Bible
In the Bible, the Hebraic text in Isaiah 14:2 refers to Helel Ben Shachar or Heylel Ben-Shachar (הילל בן שחר). Helel Ben-Schachar is translated into English as “O shining star, son of the dawn!" The name Lucifer is a translation of Helel Ben-Shachar into Latin by St. Jerome in the fourth century. Lucifer derives from two Latin words, lux (light) and fero (to bear–to bring), meaning light-bearer, light-bringer. The Bible identifies Lucifer as Devil, Satan, serpent, dragon, dweller of hell and other names.
  • Thoughts and Wisdom
There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves are equally pleased by both errors and hail a materialist or a magician with the same delight. C.S. LEWIS

Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction. Blaise Pascal

Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil. Isaiah 5:20

…confusing evil with good. That was Adam and Eve’s problem, and it is our problem today. If evil were not made to appear attractive, there would be no such thing as temptation. Billy Graham.

  • God’s message
Wide is the gate, and broad is the was, that lead to destruction Matthew 7:13

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Ephesians 6:12

Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Romans 12:9

    Jesus contrasted with Lucifer
The Bible describes Jesus as "holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners" (Heb 7:26). "In Him is no sin" (I John 3:5). He is "the Holy One of God" (Mark 1:24). Speaking of Lucifer, Jesus declared, "The prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in Me" (John 14:30).

I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, "Look, the home of God is now among His people! He will live with them, and they will be His people. God Himself will be with them. He will remove all of their sorrows, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. For the old world and its evils are gone forever." Rev. 21
